Alexandre Ouzounoff (* 1955) est un compositeur français qui a étudié le Basson avec Maurice Allard et a obtenu le 1er Prix d'Histoire de la Musique au Conservatoire Supérieur National de Paris. Quelques années plus tard il devient Lauréat du Concours International de Musique de chambre de Martigny en Suisse (1978).
A partir des années 1980 il devient un représentant de l'avant-garde internationale pour le Basson, travaillant très étroitement avec de nombreux compositeurs. En 1987 après avoir été invité par Lionel Hampton au Festival de Jazz de l'Idaho, il décide de se consacrer intensivement à la composition.
En 1998 il reçoit le 1er Prix du concours de composition St. Jacques de Compostelle et en 2015, le 2ème Prix du Concours de composition « Col Legno » aux Etats-Unis.
C’est en 2003 qu’il est nommé Professeur de Basson au Conservatoire Régional de Versailles.
Alexandre Ouzounoff a composé plus de 50 pièces et ses œuvres sont jouées dans le monde entier (USA/ Pologne/ Taïwan/ Finlande/Allemagne/Autriche/Japon).

From 1980 he became part of the international avant-garde for the Bassoon, working very closely with many composers. In 1987 after having been invited by Lionel Hampton at the Idaho Jazz Festival, he decided to dedicate intensively to the composition.
In 1998 he received the 1rst Prize of St Jacques de Compostelle Competition. In 2015, he won the 2nd Prize of the Col Legno Composition Competition (USA). He is actually professor of Bassoon at the Conservatory of Versailles.
He composed more than 50 pieces and his works are performed internationally (USA/ Poland/ Taiwan/ Finland/Germany/Austria/Japan).
